Our Practice
Silsby Family Dental was founded in June of 2016. Previously, the practice was owned and operated by Dr. Karl Heuer for over 40 years. Dr. Heuer grew a wonderful patient base in the Greater Albion area and worked hard to provide his patients with great care.
The Silsby Family Dental team is excited and honored to work in the Albion community and is committed to providing the best care by working first to form relationships followed by quality dentistry through the latest advancements in the field.
Our team is comprised of friendly, talented, and specialized individuals who together create a welcoming dental environment like no other! You will be amazed at how comfortable, relaxed, and positive your experience will be from the minute you walk through our doors.

Meet the Doctor
Dr. Evan Silsby, DDS
Dr. Evan Silsby acquired the practice in June 2016. He is a Native of Gasport N.Y. Dr. Evan received his Bachelor’s of Science from SUNY Geneseo and went to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo. Following graduation Dr. Silsby and his wife, Heidi, moved to North Carolina for a General Dental Residency at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville N.C.
Dr. Silsby and wife Heidi decided that Western New York would always be home so after residency they moved back and took over the practice in Albion, NY. Dr. Silsby loves working with people to achieve the smile they have always wanted. In his spare time he loves spending time with his two children, Caleb & Grace, his black labs Calla & Lilly, and spending time in the great outdoors hiking, biking, running, fishing, hunting, skiing... you name it!
Continuing his education to provide the greatest care possible for his patients is of the utmost importance to Dr. Silsby. He has taken many courses offered by some of the greatest minds in dentistry and is always looking forward to implementing what he learns into the practice.
Our Technology
Dentistry has made some major strides integrating the latest technology into patient care. Our office enjoys adding tech to help improve the experience and accuracy of treatment.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
This technology is integral to our ability to place dental implants accurately as well as diagnose and plan many other procedures.
Digital Radiographs

Digital X-rays reduce radiation exposure, can be viewed right away (no development process) and help make treatment faster and more predictable.

An integrated digital scanning & in-office milling system to provide patients with permanent same-day crowns!
Meet the Team
Taylor Dental Assistant
I am originally from Brockport, NY, residing in Holley NY with my boyfriend Bobby. I attended BOCES for dental assisting in 2019. Since then, I have become a certified dental assistant and have been working for four years which has given me hands on experience and knowledge to prepare for my DANB exam. I genuinely love what I do because helping others feel comfortable at the dental office and confident in their smile is what I strive for.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Being an aunt means the world to me! I also enjoy fishing and kayaking. I am very eager and excited to continue growing here at Silsby Dental!
Misty Dental Assistant
I attended BOCES for dental assisting in 2022 and plan to take my NYS dental assisting national board exam. I look forward to growing my career here at Silsby Dental! The staff and work environment are truly amazing and everyone is so passionate about their roles.
I have a health care background of 8+ years which allows me to engage with patients and help them feel comfortable and confident.
In my spare time, I love to read, go for runs, and play the guitar. I also love spending time with my daughter, Grace and German Shepard, Sophie.
Diana Office Manager
I have been in the dental field since 1996. My voice is familiar to many as I am one of the primary contacts at the office. I have been with this office since 1998 and am the go to person for all your dental insurance questions.
I have lived in the area for over 40 years with my husband Dan. I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my two grandsons!) and friends and I love knitting and crocheting. In my spare time I volunteer at functions for the Clarendon Fire Co. My most enjoyable relaxation is camping at Southwoods RV Resort as a seasonal camper.
Heidi CFP & CFO
Owning a family dental practice has been a dream for Evan and I for a very long time! I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance at Houghton College in 2008. I spent 8 years specializing in agricultural finance and completed my Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning and earned my designation as a CFP®. I have worked with a number of private companies in the area and enjoy teaching Master’s courses online.
My previous work experiences have allowed me develop valuable management skills to help me support the dental team however necessary.
My primary hobbies are running & horseback riding. Dr. Evan and I have two wonderful children, Caleb & Grace. As a family we love to hike with our black labs Calla & Lilly. We swim, run, and spend time outdoors as much as possible.
Autumn Patient Care Coordinator
I grew up in Medina, NY. I have two wonderful children that keep life busy and interesting! I am a life long resident of the area so I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. I've always had a passion for the field of dentistry and I am thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of the Silsby team and learn as much as I can about the field!
I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends. I love anything outdoors such as hiking, kayaking, relaxing by the pool and I especially love watching my children playing in their youth sports.
Joni RDH
Most know me from my nickname Joni. I graduated from MCC with my degree in dental hygiene and licensure in 2001. I returned in 2009 to become licensed to administer anesthesia. I have been practicing hygiene in Albion for almost 19 yrs. I appreciate this small town and we have some wonderful families here and I’m proud to serve this commmunity and see familiar faces! I strive to provide gentle yet effective care to my patients.
Along with my husband Ryan, we have two beautiful boys Caden & Carson. We enjoy vacationing in the winter and camping and boating in the summer. We love a good baseball game too. ( Red Sox fans!) I also enjoy gardening And reading books on my down time
Ashley RDH
I've been a hygienist in Albion for the past 9 years after moving here from East Central Illinois. My husband is what brought me to the area. I'm also from a small town and this community welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home! We have 4-year old triplets that keep my husband and I very busy!
Dental hygiene is my passion; I love developing relationships with my patients and look forward to seeing them year after year.
Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors with my family. We love to fish, kayak, ride our side by side and take trips to our cabin in the Adirondacks.
Megan RDH
I am originally from Bloomfield and moved to Waterport with my husband and our dogs Bella, Ember, and Skye. I earned my associates in dental hygiene from MCC in 2014, following my NYS anesthesia licensing in 2015.
I genuinely look forward to treating my patients and providing them with the best dental care ! We enjoying being out on the lake in the summer and hanging out with our friends and family!
