Preventative Services

Preventative
Cleanings

Our dental hygienists will provide you with a very thorough and gentle cleaning. The goal of the treatment is to remove plaque and calculus (tartar) from the surfaces of the teeth. This also cleanses the mouth of the bacteria that cause tooth decay and periodontal disease.

Fluoride Varnishes/Trays

Few other techniques have shown such great benefits for teeth as fluoride. Fluoride treatments can be applied in our office or prescribed for your use at home. Children routinely receive fluoride treatments as well as those who are at higher risk of forming cavities.

Sealants

Sealants are a protective coating placed over the grooves in the teeth to prevent cavities from forming. Most molars naturally have deep grooves on the biting surface. These grooves are the first place where cavities form. It is important to have the molars sealed when they first erupt, about age 6. Our hygienists can apply these many times during the hygiene appointment.

Occlusal Guards

Our lives are full of stresses and high impact activities. It is important to protect our teeth from unnecessary forces so we don’t end up with broken teeth or stressed muscles and joints. We make occlusal guards for many different applications: athletics, night time grinding, and TMD (tempormandibular joint disorders). If your jaw feels sore in the morning, you have pain to the muscle of the face or around your ears, have been told you grind your teeth, or see signs of wear, then you may benefit from an occlusal guard.

Periodontal Therapy

The word periodontal refers to the gums and supporting bone around the teeth. Periodontal disease is a bacteria-driven condition can causes inflammation and bone destruction over time. The therapies we offered are focused on removing deep tartar on the root surfaces of your teeth to allow the body to heal the tissues around your teeth. Two common phrases are “a deep cleaning” or “scaling and root planning”; these are both ways we describe the process of treating periodontal disease.

General

Restorative Dentistry

Restorations (Dental Fillings)

We perform resin (tooth-colored) dental restorations which are bonded to your teeth in order to provide a tight seal. This protects the tooth as well as allows for more conservative dentistry in comparison to the old amalgam fillings. As the demands for esthetic dentistry grew, so did the technology of dental materials. Now it is possible to disguise your fillings and to continue to have a beautiful smile.

Crowns

Crowns or Caps are restorations made by our lab of out porcelain and/or metal. These are used in situations when the teeth need something stronger than a filling to reinforce them from breaking.

Bridges

Bridges are like “crowns that are connected together” and are used to replace missing teeth. They are a great option that is not removable and feel more comfortable than partial dentures.

Root Canals

Root Canals are performed when the nerve of the tooth becomes inflamed or dies away. A tooth may or may not hurt when it needs a root canal but the process is the same. Removing the nerve from the inside of the tooth and sealing the channels that it occupied helps to prevent you from feeling any pain with the tooth any more and infections from clearing up around the roots of teeth.

Dentures

We offer a variety of options to provide you with the best fitting dentures possible. Dentures can be held in place with implants to support them and increase your function. Your dentures should be able to give you the smile you always wanted and feel comfortable throughout the day.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures come in many different designs and materials depending on your individual needs. A great partial denture is natural looking and increases your ability to chew.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic
Invisialign™ (clear braces)

Invsialign is the most popular clear aligner technology used to straighten teeth without metal brackets and wires. This technology allows for people to achieve the smile they have always wanted without everyone knowing.

Dental Resin Restorations (Mercury Free White Fillings):

Bonded Resin fillings allow for us to save natural tooth structure as well as match fillings to the color of your teeth.

Bondings

Resin bonding is done as a cost effective alternative to veneers and crowns. In certain applications, it can be done as a more conservative treatment.  Materials can be blending together to match the shade of your teeth.

Whitening

If a brighter smile is what you are looking for then a professional whitening treatment may be an excellent solution. We offer at-home strips or custom made trays with whitening gel.

Veneers

Veneers are a great long lasting way to brighten and align your teeth conservatively.  They are made out of porcelain by our skilled lab technicians and are really miniature art projects. The blending and balancing of tooth shades allow for perfect matches to your existing teeth or to change your smile to what you have always wanted.

Surgical Services

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are artificial tooth roots made out of titanium. Once placed in the bone they integrate, locking them in place. These are as close to replacing teeth as possible. With dental implants we can replace single teeth, multiple missing teeth, or hold your dentures in place.

Extractions

We work hard to provide you with a gentle experience for tooth extractions with the use of local anesthesia. We perform extractions on most teeth, including wisdom teeth. If you require sedation or more complicated wisdom teeth extractions, we’re happy to give referrals to great local oral surgeons who can provide those services for you.
